Office Sneak Peek
Happy Thursday, friends! We've had a very rough week in the Schwoch house. I came down with the flu on Monday, and J just caught it yesterday. Needless to say, we're struggling to keep up with the first week back at work, household chores, and the blog all while getting healthy.
I managed to get a few posts shot before we both got sick, and today's post is one of them. And, you guys, I'm beyond excited for it! Towards the end of last year, I asked what you were hoping to see more of on the blog. The vote was heavily in favor of Home Decor. So, today i'm teaming up with my friends at Minted to give you a sneak peek at our office.
We've only been in our apartment for a few months and we've already purchased a home that's currently being built (YAY!). So, all of the furniture and artwork you see here was bought with that in mind. Our new home will have a gorgeous, light-filled office space that I can't wait to move in to. But, until then our second bedroom in our apartment is working just fine as an office.
We decided to take a bit of risk and go with a darker rug, knowing that our room will be lighter in our new home. It's a mix of modern and mid century modern and I love the juxtaposition. We paired the rug with this gorgeous desk set from Kittle's Home Furnishings . (My family's company!) Then we added a pop of pink in the form of a side chair, as well as with a few accent vases and candles around the room.
The artwork just so happens to be one of my favorite parts of the office! Artwork goes such a long way in making any room feel complete. Apartments have a way of feeling so bleak and bland so J and I have always tried to have as much art as possible. I had the hardest time picking out pieces for my office, because Minted has so many great options. At first, I wanted to go Parisian (here) but once I saw their nature collection I couldn't resist the gorgeous cacti and canyon prints (aren't the gorg?!). They helped to pull out the blush tones in the office all while sticking to the mid century modern feel.
I hope you enjoyed this little Home Decor sneak peek and I can't wait to show the full reveal once we move into our new home!
XO,
K
