The Sweetest Summer Garden Party

Well hello, friends! Summer is in full swing and there's no better way to celebrate the sweetness of the season than by throwing a summer garden party. So, grab some stationary or set up an e-vite and send your BFFs an invite before garden season ends! 

Ever since I was little i've dreamed of garden parties (it could have to do with my love of Alice in Wonderland). I love hosting girly events, and this summer garden party turned out to be a true wonderland brunch. Trust me on this one, your besties will love it. And, if they're anything like mine, they'll use it as an excuse to dress up!

There's nothing better than summer tabletops. With hundreds of flowers to choose from, sweet tea, wine and fresh greenery it's the perfect backdrop for a girly soiree. The best part about this table is that I could reuse some of my favorite pieces from spring. My advice, check out your yard for inspiration! Pick some flowers and grab some greens and let the plants make up the majority of your table this season.

Most of these items, I grabbed from my mom's kitchen and it all came together so perfectly! If you can't find anything in your own kitchen, head out to an antique shop. They often have great simple pieces that play up the vintage feel of a table like this. Plus, i'd be willing to be you'll end up using any pieces you will find throughout the rest of the year. As for the menu, a summer garden party calls for small chilled bites and lots of white wine or rose (rose fans raise your hands)! I'd suggest putting together a cheese plate (check out this one), some small tea sandwiches and a large fresh vegetable salad. Nothing says summer like fresh veggies from the garden!
