Sometimes I want to stay warm, comfortable and casual while still looking good. Pair the flannel lined pants with a nice Patagonia pullover and you’re good to go.

It’s no secret that competitiveness is an attribute many humans possess. It’s also no secret that father time waits for no man (or woman). As we age our possible outlets for that competition diminishes greatly. Enter Cornhole. Anyone can play and anyone can win as long as you have four players and a good partner. It’s the perfect game for everyone.
Rubber Wedding Bands
When Kenz and I got married we got very nice wedding bands. Even though we wear them on the daily basis there are times when it’s not conducive to life. Athletic activities, hours on the computer and traveling to name a few. It’s times like that a rubber wedding band can come in handy.

I worked in the athletic footwear industry for over 7 years and have been running for close to half of that. Throughout that time I have never come across a more comfortable running shoe. I LOVE them. Fortunately for you, I am not the only one. They now use the Boost technology in all different types of shoes. Take your pick!
Beard Grooming Kit
Up until July I was a clean-shaven man. After I found my inner mountain man (and laziness) I learned a beard only enhanced my already dashing good looks. LED TV Backlighting
The newest addition to the Schwoch household is LED lighting strips behind our TV. It’s been a great way to improve the way our TV looks above the fireplace AND alleviate some of the strain on our eyes while watching How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
Corkcicle Cups
Our house is littered with cups of all types: Glass, water bottles, tumblers, shot, beer, wine and so on. Of all of them our Corkcicle bottles/cups are our favorite. Not only are they sleek and stylish, they are also extremely functional and work better than advertised. I think the only cup we haven’t compared them to is the Holy Grail. I’ll let you know if that ever happens.
Video Doorbell
The perfect paring with a smart lock is a video doorbell. One of these bad boys will record your every visitor, let you know who’s there before you open the door, and spook your upcoming guests with a premature greeting.
Sunglasses
Unfortunately men don’t have a lot of opportunities to accessorize. Men may not like to admit it; but we do like to look good and differentiate ourselves as much as the next gal. Sunglasses are a great way to do just that. A word of caution – make sure you know what he likes before you purchase them. We can be very picky. The pair I linked are my new personal favorite. They give off a Ray Ban vibe, but not everyone and their brother have them.

Smart Thermostat
A few months ago we bought a townhouse. For all of the fantastic things about it there are still a few shortfalls with having three stories. One of the chief issues is temperature control. In the summer the top floors are hot and in the winter they are cold. To combat this we got a smart thermostat. Now, we are able to better control the temperature and save a few bucks on the electric bill. Unfortunately, those savings go to Kenzie and not me.
iRobot Vacuum
I’m not sure if you are aware, but Kenz and I have the cutest puppy alive. While he brings us more happiness in the world the we deserve, that’s not all he brings. On any given day he sheds 1-2 average dog’s worth of hair. While I now have one strong left arm, I can’t seem to keep up. That’s where a smart vacuum comes in handy. It will do the work for me while I’m at work!
Smart Switches
Even before we bought the house I have been planning to automate it as much as possible. It started with the Amazon Echos and has grown from there. Of all of my upgrades thus far, the smart switches are my biggest and favorite addition. Even beyond telling Alexa to control them for me, I am able to set them on timers, work with my other smart devices and control them with my phone.
Custom Barware
In a home full of “Blush” accents, the bar is a point of pride for me. I may not have the bottom filling kegerator I want quite yet, but a great set of barware certainly goes a long way to creating a great bar anyone will be proud of. My favorite piece is my custom Decanter that K got for me when we got engaged.
Joggers
Now I know I’m a little late to the game on this but better late than never. It used to drive me nuts that Kenz could wear leggings out in public but I was either overdressed in jeans or looked like a slob in sweat pants. Then I discovered the wonderful hybridity of joggers. They’re basically the mullet of pants back when mullets were cool. They’re nice enough to wear in public but as comfortable as sweatpants. Game, set, match leggings.
