How To Dress For Fall When It's Hot Out
What i’m wearing: Dress; SheInside– c/o // Purse; Tory Burch (similar)// Boots; BCBG (similar) //
Hello, lovelies! Love fall, but live somewhere warm? Today's post is for you! It's still insanely hot in Florida, but all i've been wanting to do is where my chunky sweaters, jackets and booties. So today, i'm sharing three style tips to help you dress for fall even if it may not feel like it outside.
I'll admit it, this DC girl is still trying to get used to living in Florida during colder months. My sweaters and boots are so ready to be worn, but the weather hasn't quite caught up with us. Luckily, i've come up with these three simple style tips to help those of you in a similar position!
Wear a simple, transitional dress
Dresses are great transitional pieces for those of us who live in warmer temps. A dress with long sleeves can help you look October-ready, but still keeps you cool when running around outside.
I've been buying tons of dresses with darker colors and bell sleeves, similar to this one from SheInside. I love the pattern and how easy it to layer with a light jacket.
Opt for Boots
I've been absolutely LOVING the OTK (over the knee) boot trend this year. Nothing says fall to me quite like boots and booties. Pairing a dress or skirt with boots immediately takes your look from summer to fall.
If it's really hot where you live, switch out the OTK boot for a simple pair of booties or open-toed booties to keep a little cooler.
Add Dark Accessories
Summer is all about bright colors, but Fall is where dark colors shine. My fall/winter wardrobe is filled with neutrals, dark blues and burgundies and I wouldn't change it for anything. I paired my look with a dark bag, boots and jewelry to look even more like fall.
Pro tip: Try adding a plaid or dark scarf to your look.
That's it! Now, you're ready to dress for fall even in the hottest temps!

K
