DIY Felt Garland
Happy Tuesday! I hope your week back from Thanksgiving is going well so far. We've been BUSY gearing up for the Holidays, because we'll be traveling to spend time with family. Part of "gearing up for the Holidays" means we decorated our apartment for Christmas (you can see what we've been up to here), baked tons of cookies and muffins and watched one too many Hallmark Christmas Movies (psst... Netflix has quite the selection).
If you haven't guessed it by now, we go all out for Christmas. This year I bought all new decor to match our new place, and it feels like a wintery wonderland. The one thing I couldn't justify spending a ton on was a garland. I love them so much, but all of the felt garlands I loved seemed pricey for what they were. Naturally, I figured, "Hey, I can do that." So, I took matters into my own hands and created this adorable Felt Garland. It turned out so cute, I just couldn't wait to share it with you. Especially because it's sooooo easy to make.
Here's What You Need:
50-75 Felt Balls ( I ordered mine from Etsy)
String (I purchased mine from Michaels, but I love this one from Target)
Needle
Here's How To Make It:
1. Choose a color pattern and line up your felt balls accordingly. Then, string the needle and thread making sure you leave plenty of additional room.
2. Take the needle and go through the first ball, pull it until you reach about three inches from the end of your thread. Continue this trend until all balls have been used.
3. Leave about three inches at either side of the thread and cut remaining thread off. Hang, and enjoy!
4. Pro Tip: Use any remaining balls to create ornaments! (See last photo)
