5 Little Known Facts About Me

I've always tried to share a good portion of my personal life here on Simply J & K, but lately it's been a top priority of mine. (starting with this post) Getting to know each of you who check the site or comment/DM me on Instagram has been such a joy, that i'd like to try and do my best to share more about myself. With all the new faces around here lately, it only seemed right to put together a post on a few little known facts about me.

It has been so fun to put this little list of facts together, and i'd love to learn more about you too! So, leave me a comment or send me a message on Instagram. With that said, here are a few facts you may (or may not) have known about me:

1. I knew I'd marry Jordon within a month of getting together. This may not seem like a shocking statement right away, but learn that we met at 17 and changed our college plans to be together and the story may interest you more. Everyone told us we were crazy, and looking back I don't blame them. But, trusting my gut led me to the best decision i've ever made.

2. I've been destined to be 30 since I was 12. Every heard of the phrase 13 going on 30? That's always been me. To a T. I've always been way more interested in staying in, cooking and decorating than hitting the bars. J is the exact same, so we've loved being in this twenty something stage of life, it feels like we're finally hitting our "destined" ages.

3. I've lived in 4 states and 7 cities. I guess you could say I was a bit indecisive from ages 18-24, but hey it happens. J and I are both from Indiana, I went to school in South Carolina and then Florida, Worked in DC, moved back to Florida and now ended up back in Indiana. You follow along? Half the time even I even forget where I was. 😂 But, it's safe to say we'll be back home in Indy for the foreseeable future. We love the slower pace, being with family and the friends we've made here!

4. I hate fads and trends. Whether we're talking about fashion, diets or home decor I hate fads and I hate trends. You'll very rarely find any "trendy" pieces on the blog, because i'm a firm believer that classics are always better long-term.

5. I really need glasses and refuse to get them. This one is more funny than anything else. But, J and I have had a very long fight about me getting my eyes checked. Yes, it's blurry. No, I don't want glasses. No, I don't know why not. In fact, I honestly think glasses can look adorable. But, here we are.
